Your route starts at a beautiful water tower. From here you cycle across the border to the Netherlands and head to Domein THUYSGROND for a cup of coffee. Here you are in a large meadow landscape with wild flowers and herbs. It is named after De Witrijt, which is part of Boswachterij De Kempen. Around the hamlet of Weebosch run streams such as the Run and the Aa. In this stream landscape you will see wooded banks, heathlands and ponds. Further on you will discover the De Deen mill in Bergeijk. This beautiful belt mill was built in 1839. The mill has been damaged several times but has always been restored and rebuilt. You cycle back via the ponds near Retie. These were created by white sand extraction, the white sand (quartz sand) is used in washing powder, mobile phones and toothpaste.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
