Tour Ravels, Arendonk and Reusel

Turnhout is considered by many to be the capital of the Kempen region. During excavations at the Oud Turnhout industrial estate in 2011, a burial pit containing cremated bones and polished flint artifacts dating back to 4000 BC was discovered. This was a unique discovery, as few traces from that period have been found in the Kempen region. You'll also cycle through the Turnhout Fen Area: a large nature reserve of heathland and fens. In this area, you'll pick up the Bels Lijntje, a former railway line between Turnhout and Tilburg. Near the village of Ravels, you'll find beautiful regional forests, with deciduous and coniferous trees and even more mysterious fens.
