Walking along the water around Schagerbrug

You can park your car at Grote Sloot in Schagerbrug. But first you explore the picturesque town of Schagerbrug. You will see many monumental buildings here, such as typical farmhouses. The West Frisian polder is known for its panoramic views, high Dutch skies and colorful bulb fields. It is a pleasure to walk in such beautiful scenery, especially when you know how much work it has taken to tame the sea and wastelands. The old hamlets and ribbon villages that arose here after the reclamation, such as Schagerbrug, are worth a visit. A nice path through the meadows and a pedestrian bridge lead you back down.
