Get on your bike and enjoy the Brabant nature! When you have finished the route, you can rest on the terrace with something tasty.
Loonse and Drunense Duinen
The first part of the route you cycle through the Loonse and Drunense Duinen National Park. This is a varied nature reserve of over 3,500 hectares. A great area to cycle through! The living drifting sands in the Loonse and Drunense Dunes are not found on such a large scale anywhere in Europe, but it is also a wooded area with many conifers. The moist streams and swamps south of the dunes provide a nice contrast.
Sights along the way
You then cycle to Zwijnsbergen Castle. Zwijnsbergen was founded around 1552 as a simple house with a canal around it. The cellars of Zwijnsbergen form the oldest part of the castle with their rib and barrel vaults. A little further on you will find the Helvoirt Liberation Monument, which was placed to commemorate the liberation of that place in 1945. You then cycle a large part through the Loonse and Drunense Duinen, and then return to Loon op Zand.
