Cycling along miles of drifting sand areas

This route takes you through the Loonse & Drunense Duinen and the farmlands on the edge of this national park. First you pass through Cromvoirt, where you will see some old farms, the former town hall and the St. Lambertus Church from 1888. Through a series of forests and meadows you drive to the picturesque Giersbergen. You cross the canal twice, after which you pass the Couwenberg Mill from 1849 on the edge of Kaatsheuvel. Then you drive back into the Loonse & Drunense Duinen. You pass a number of heathlands, and you also see the living drifting sand that makes this national park extra special. Finally, you pass the small lake the Iron Man. You get off at Hotel De Kruishoeve, you are welcome for a drink, snack and overnight stay.
