Your cycling route starts with a cup of coffee at Old Inn. From here you first cycle to the Maas and ride along the water at Afferden. A little further on, you can dive into De Maasduinen National Park at Nieuw-Bergen, a terraced landscape on an elongated, high sandy ridge between the Maas and the German border. It consists of lower and higher sandy soils, the Maas valley and a plateau. Galloway cattle, sheep and goats graze here. You will also pass your Bleijenbeek Estate. This country estate dates back to the Middle Ages and is located on a sloping river dune. The coniferous forest was created at the end of the nineteenth century. Here and there it is interrupted by meadows and fields. At Siebengewald you meander along the border for a while before returning to your starting point.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
