Tour of De Kieftskamp near Hengelo

Your route soon leads past Kieftskamp Estate, a beautiful rural area with many old trees, an eighteenth-century country house and historic farms. Kieftskamp Castle is surrounded by an extensive estate, which is publicly accessible. This castle was named after the lapwing, which used to be common here. In the hall you can see the lapwings again, in the rococo stucco work on the ceiling. Further on you will see Molen Ons Belang, a beautiful thatched corn mill from 1890 in the hamlet of Linde. The old cultural landscape has been beautifully preserved here. The miller regularly gives guided tours.
