Description

Your cycling route starts at a special location: at the Market of Oudenbosch, where you can visit the Basilica of Saints Agatha and Barbara from 1880. This is a modest copy of St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City. Then you drive past vast meadows towards Standdaarbuiten, where you cycle for a while on the dike along the Markvallei. In Hoeven you will pass the striking monumental St. John the Baptist Church from 1929. Further on is De Toekomst, a flour mill from 1862. According to tradition, St. Willebrord was founded after the Eighty Years' War by remaining Spanish soldiers.  Then you drive straight through the extensive Rucphense Bossen, a forest area of no less than 1200 hectares. You cycle back via Bosschenhoofd.
