Description

Your cycle route starts at the edge of the Oude Warande, built in 1712, one of the few well-preserved star forests in the Netherlands. Around 1600, Tilburg grew into the most important wool city in Brabant and in the eighteenth century the textile industry emerged here, which made the city great in the nineteenth century. In Hilvarenbeek you can see the old Vrijthof, a square that enjoys a protected village view. Here you will see two centuries-old lime trees, several stately mansions and the late Gothic St. Peter's Band Church from the fifteenth century. The Roovert estate is wonderfully quiet with a mix of deciduous and coniferous trees. Every now and then you have views over a meadow.
