From Meers you take a tour through the Limburg hills and Maas valley. A route full of natural beauty and places with a rich cultural history.
Geleen You cycle through the picturesque Stein, then you can get off for a nice pit stop at Brasserie Steinerbos. In Urmond you will see the Bokkenrijders Chapel from 1755 on the right of the Molenweg. Bokkenrijders held meetings here between 1760 and 1770. You make a climb to Geleen, in this city you will see, among other things, the Second Armored Division Monument.
Els Museum Just past junction 38, at the roundabout of Frans Erenslaan, you will see the Sint-Janskluis, a former hermitage from 1699. Just before Spaubeek, on the left of the road you will see a large farm that was once part of Sint Jansgeleen Castle. Further on you pass VVV Beek in Readshop PostNL Post Office. You will also pass the Els Museum, which is dedicated to the herbal bitter Els La Vera. You drive back to Meers along the Juliana Canal.
