Cycling route through the nature around Amsterdam

The area around Amsterdam is ideally suited for cycling. Nice to realize that the bustling city life is only a few kilometers away from you, while you enjoy nature. The starting point of the route is Postillion Hotel Amsterdam. You cycle via Diemen to Coastal Battery Diemerdam, a 19th-century military defense of the Defense Line of Amsterdam. Via the cute fortified town of Naarden you cycle through the Naardermeer, a protected nature reserve on the northwestern border of the Gooi. A green oasis with clear water, dense marshes and marshy meadows. Wonderful to cycle through! Via Weesp, the Gaasperplas and the Ouderkerkerplas you cycle back to Postillion Hotel Amsterdam, where you can spend the night to see even more of Amsterdam and the surrounding area.
