Tour of Makkum, Harlingen and Bolsward

After an overnight stay at Boerencamping Half-Hichtum, on the edge of Bolsward, you get on your bike. If you cycle through Bolsward you will pass the Monsma State, built in 1709 by the mayor. Via the lovely Makkum you drive north along the Wadden Sea, a pleasure on a beautiful day with all the boats and the beautiful water. The Wadden Sea is a shallow sea where mudflats and sandbanks dry up at low tide. The area is of international importance. Numerous birds breed here and many seals are also born here. You will also pass the Afsluitdijk, a beautiful sight. The Eleven Cities city of Harlingen is worth lingering a while. Sea, sailing, cultural heritage, but also nice shops and restaurants: Harlingen is a vibrant city!
