Tour of Biesbosch and Alblasserwaard

During this tour you will explore the Alblasserwaard and the Biesbosch. You can relax along the river De Alblas, further on you will discover the Alblasserbos: a small-scale, but special nature reserve. Then it is time for De Biesbosch National Park: the largest freshwater tidal area in Europe. This is a really beautiful area to cycle through. Willow forests, water, reedlands, creeks, moist grasslands: you will find it all here. Just like an unprecedented silence! With a bit of luck you can spot the sea eagle or osprey here. At Werkendam you cross the river again and drive back into the Alblasserwaard. Here too you can enjoy the nature and old farms that line the road. The route ends at Vertoeven near Verhoeven, a comfortable overnight address.
