Tour of the Biesbosch and Alblasserwaard

During this tour you will explore the Alblasserwaard and the Biesbosch. You will cycle along the river De Alblas, further on you will discover the Alblasserbos: a small-scale, but special nature reserve. Then it is time for National Park De Biesbosch: the largest freshwater tidal area in Europe. This is a truly beautiful area to cycle through. Willow forests, water, reed beds, creeks, damp grasslands: you will find it all here. Just like an unprecedented silence! With a bit of luck you can spot the sea eagle or osprey here. At Werkendam you cross the river again and cycle back into the Alblasserwaard. Here too you can enjoy the nature and old farms that stand along the road. The route ends at Vertoeven bij Verhoeven, a comfortable overnight accommodation.
