Vennenroute from Boshuys Hermitage

This walking route starts at Boshuys Hermitage. Take a moment for a cup of coffee on the beautiful terrace on the water before you put on your hiking boots. With this route you will discover the famous Oisterwijkse Bossen and Vennen. You walk along some old fens where you can take a short break on a bench. On the whimsical banks you can smell the fragrant gale and you can admire fairytale water lilies in season. You pass the Staalbergven and the Van Esscheven. Both beautiful places to enjoy the silence or take a picture. The Oisterwijk fens are all equally magical, their beautiful banks often grow rare plants such as swamp deer cage, rush fern and riparian herb. There are even islands in some fens.
