Fen route from Boshuys Hermitage

This route takes you to the famous Oisterwijk Forests and Fens. You'll walk past several old fens where you can take a short break on a bench. On the rugged banks, you'll smell the fragrant bog myrtle and, in season, admire enchanting water lilies. You'll pass the Staalbergven and the Van Esscheven, both beautiful spots to enjoy the tranquility or take a photo. The Oisterwijk fens are all equally enchanting, with their beautiful banks often home to rare plants like marsh stag's-eye, bulrush fern, and shorewort. Some fens even have islands.
