Long cycle route along Bergen op Zoom and Kalmthoutse Heide

During the route you cycle across the Kalmthoutse Heide. This border park is a cross-border nature reserve of 6,000 hectares, with heathland, fens, drifting dunes, meadows and forests. This is where you can really relax. There is something to do for nature lovers in every season. In winter the heath is beautiful when it is covered with a layer of snow. The highlight of the Kalmthoutse Heide, however, is between mid-August and mid-September, when the flowers of the shrub heath transform the heath into a purple carpet. Along the way you will pass Den Hof Farm, which is located in the woods outside Bergen op Zoom. Stop here for coffee and homemade cake, or for a tasty lunch to catch your breath for the rest of the route.
