Enjoy pedaling between Balen and (Kei)heuvel

This route guides you through the nature of Ham. Between junctions 276 and 339 you cycle on the old railway bed through the Veldhovenheide nature reserve to the Kwaadmechelen-Dessel canal. Along this canal between junctions 339 and 38 is the Alpaca farm Alpaca Pachmana on the right and on the left side of the canal is the De Rammelaars nature reserve, where various walking routes start. If you want to visit these attractions, you have to leave the route for a while or come back again. The route then takes you to the De Keiheuvel recreational area. This domain has it all, a swimming pool, playground, petting zoo, mini golf and also nature walks. Ideal to stay here for a picnic or to have a snack and drink in the catering area. Just stroll around, it's all possible there.
