Take a nice pedaling between Balen and (Kei)heuvel

This route guides you through the nature of Hamse. Between nodes 276 and 339 you can cycle on the old railway bed through the Veldhovenheide nature reserve to the Kwaadmechelen-Dessel canal. Along this canal between nodes 339 and 38 is the Alpaca farm Alpaca Pachmana on the right and on the left side of the canal nature reserve De Rammelaars, where various hiking trails start. If you want to visit these attractions, you have to leave the route for a while or come back for it. The route then takes you to the De Keiheuvel recreation area. This domain has it all, a swimming pool, playground, petting zoo, mini golf and also nature walks. Ideal to linger here for a picnic or to have a snack and a drink in the catering area. Just stroll around, it's all possible there.
