Fantastic cycling through As

Your cycling adventure starts at Station As, one of the six gateways to the Hoge Kempen National Park. During this fantastic cycling tour you will become acquainted with the various special landscapes of the Hoge Kempen National Park, from vast heathland to astonishing views. The big plus of this route: you cycle for miles on car-free cycle paths, such as the former railway line from As to Maaseik or the towpath along the Zuid-Willemsvaart. You can always stop along the way to enjoy the magnificent surroundings. Would you rather do fewer kilometers? Then you can easily shorten the route from the Mechelse Heide (junction 60). Then follow junction 551 and cycle further to junction 565. Do-tip: be sure to be seduced by the new experience 'Cycling through the heath', where you cycle straight through the National Park. Thanks to the panoramic bridge you can fully enjoy cycling across the heath. This shorter route is 28.4 kilometers.
