Tour of Renesse and Goeree-Overflakkee

This cycling route starts at Hotel Blooker, an ideal base for cyclists. From Renesse on Schouwen-Duiveland you drive over the Brouwersdam to Goeree-Overflakkee. And back. A beautiful day full of fresh air. Like many other Zeeland villages, Renesse is also built around a ring. Here you will see some beautiful buildings and the sixteenth-century James Church. The Brouwersdam was completed in 1971 and is the seventh structure of the Delta Works. On the six and a half kilometer long dam you can enjoy beautiful views of the North Sea and the Grevelingenmeer. At Goeree-Overflakkee you drive through Stellendam. You cycle back along the Westduinen. During the Second World War, the Germans placed wooden imitation airplanes here to deceive. When the RAF was informed about this by the resistance, they dropped two wooden bombs.
