Walking route Vreugderijkerwaard and IJsseldelta

This walking route starts at the Zalkerveer and Tea House. At the tea house you can enjoy a cup of coffee, tea or drink with delicious home-made cakes and cookies. In the summer the terrace is open and you can sit in a fantastic spot with a view of the IJssel. With this walking route you will get to know the beautiful Vreugderijkerwaard, which you can see well from the dike. The rare flora on the sand dunes along the river is really very special. The beautiful polders and centuries-old waterways in the IJsseldelta offer a varied landscape that you can discover with a walk. It is not without reason that it has been declared the National Landscape IJsseldelta. Right along the water you can enjoy the vast polder. In some places you can see for miles.
