Castle tour of Ruurlo and Vorden

You will find Bakery Hengelo in Hengelo in Gelderland, close to Pure Nature. It is not a real catering facility, but you are very welcome to pick up a delicious pastry or sandwich for the road. Then you get on your bike and ride across the Het Zand estate. In the Middle Ages it was part of the Marke Hattemer. You can enjoy beautiful avenues and vistas among the many planted trees. The route leads you further to Ruurlo. You pass the main attraction of the village: Ruurlo Castle, a country estate from around 1326. Just before Vorden, take a look at Kieftskamp Castle, from the Lindeseweg. Vorden is a real castle village. Further on you drive past Molen Ons Belang, a beautiful thatched corn mill from 1890.
