Tour Brunssummerheide from Hoensbroek

This cycling route starts with a cup of coffee at De Eettafel meeting place in Hoensbroek. Nearby you will discover another Philadelphia care location: Schuttersweide. You cycle along the green edge of Brunssum to the Brunssummerheide. This heathland was created by people. You wouldn't know it, but the area around the visitor center was built on a former garbage dump. A herd of Schoonbeeker sheep lives in the hilly area. You continue past Landgraven and Eygelshoven. Then you cycle via the Schutterspark on the edge of Brunssum to Schinveld and Oirsbeek. Just before the end of the route you can take a look at Hoensbroek Castle, one of the largest castles in the Netherlands. It's worth taking a look: you can visit up to forty rooms.
