Tour of the vineyard and Huis Verwolde

Starting point Camping Monte Bello is beautifully located in the green area between Markelo and Goor. Your route gets off to a good start, in the middle of the rolling forests on and around the moraine of the Herikerberg. A little later you drive through an authentic cultural landscape of fields, meadows and streams. The Bolksbeek partly forms a border stream between Overijssel and Gelderland. The stream was once the terror of the region, before it was connected to the newly dug Twente Canal in 1933. Small roads cut through the small-scale landscape and invite you to discover again and again. Huis Verwolde is more than worth a visit. It has existed since 1346 and now functions as a museum. Many special trees grow on the extensive estate. The current nobleman's house dates from 1776 and can be visited with a guide.
