Discover the Achterhoek: Lochem, Laren and Huis Verwolde

Soon after you start you can enjoy a nice terrace in Lochem. There are still many beautiful old buildings in this old town, you can still experience the atmosphere of times gone by. Here you drive through the Achterhoek, an authentic cultural landscape of fields, meadows and streams. In the countryside you will experience a refreshing tranquility. In Laren you can admire the village church, which is a neoclassical water control church from 1835. On your route you will also pass a few country houses. Huis Verwolde is the first. It has existed since 1346 and now functions as a museum. After a cup of coffee at Beleefboerderij de Kleine Carrousel you will pass the Zwiepse Molen, a thatched corn mill from 1851. It was originally located on the Zwiepse Berg near Barchem, but was moved due to poor windage.
