Tour of Arcen, Grubbenvorst and Velden

Your route starts at B&B La Dominotte Arcen. Arcen is best known for its striking castle and beautiful castle gardens, but this beautiful town has more to offer. A green wooded environment, a historic center and the strategic location on the Maas make it a hidden gem. As early as 1330, Arcen was an important link with the hinterland and the village quickly developed into a fortified town. You cross the Maas twice with a ferry. On the other side of the river you will discover Huis De Steegh and Kaldenbroek Castle, beautifully situated in nature. You cycle right past it! Step off for a moment to soak up the atmosphere. The villages of Lottum and Grubbenvorst are also nice places to park your bike.
