The Regents Route along historical places of Biest-Houtakker
The Regent Route is named after the regents of the Gemeint. The Municipality or"municipality\\\" includes the communal lands that have been owned by the residents of"De Biest\\\" for almost seven centuries. The regents, elected from and by the residents of Biest-Houtakker, manage these lands. A situation that is unique in the Netherlands!The bronze statue that depicts the regents inspecting the land is located in the middle of the village on the square opposite the church.
