Short walking route Oisterwijkse Bossen en Vennen

Your walking route starts at Grill Restaurant & Café Vuur & Vlam, beautifully located on the Lind in Oisterwijk. From here you can walk straight to the Oisterwijkse Vennen, once a vast heathland area. At the end of the nineteenth century, Scots pines were planted for mining and shipbuilding. Nowadays, more and more native deciduous trees are growing. You will pass the Staalbergven and the Van Esscheven. Both beautiful places to enjoy the silence or take a photo. You also make a beautiful meander along the banks of the Klein and Groot Aderven. These two fens were created by wind erosion. You can deduce this from, among other things, the west-southwest location of the fens. Grab a bench and enjoy the blooming lilies.
