Walking route Baarle-Nassau-Hertog

After a cup of coffee at Brasserie Aai & Vlaai, you can take a leisurely stroll into the countryside. A lovely walk along meadows and fields is a great way to relax. At junction 56, you will pass a monumental long-façade farm from 1890. Further on, you will enter Baarle-Nassau and Baarle-Hertog. According to them, they form the most remarkable village in the world: here you will find 30 pieces of Belgium and the Netherlands that are intimately intertwined. The border here simply runs through houses and gardens. The enclave borders have been made visible using special paving stones, aluminium plates in the road surface and the national tricolour on the house number signs. A special experience to walk here. In the village, you will come across several beautiful monumental buildings, such as the Sint-Remigius church from 1640.
