Get on your bike and discover the surroundings of Hoogerheide. You start at Orangerie Mattemburgh. The Orangerie is located on the Mattemburgh Estate, one of the most special estates in North Brabant. The history of this unique estate goes back to the time of French rule. At Orangerie Mattemburgh, owners Frank and Marloes grow their own products on the estate: forgotten vegetables, fruit, herbs. The Orangery was originally a greenhouse where unique container plants used to overwinter. Super special to take a look here! The route takes you to the Kalmhoutse Heide, a cross-border nature reserve with Belgium. The Kalmhoutse Heide mainly consists of heath with fens, sand drifts and pine forest. The ecological and cultural-historical values in particular make the area unique. A wonderful area to cycle through!
