Description
Time seems to have stood still along the Vecht, it is so quiet and unspoilt here. In the area you will find estates, extensive forests and charming towns such as Dalfsen. Zwolle joined the German Hanseatic League in 1407, an alliance between cities to stimulate trade. As a result, the city experienced its 'Golden Age' in the 15th century. You can still see this today in the historic decorated facades, the defensive wall, the Sassenpoort, the Peperbus and the star-shaped city canal. You cycle back to your starting point via Restaurant Zalen De Mol in small Wijthmen.
