Description
Time seems to have stood still along the Vecht, it is so peaceful and unspoilt here. In the area you will find country estates, vast forests and cozy towns such as Dalfsen. Zwolle joined the German Hanseatic League in 1407, an alliance between cities to stimulate trade. The city experienced its 'Golden Age' as a result in the 15th century. You can still see that on the historic decorated facades, the defensive wall, the Sassenpoort, the Peperbus and the star-shaped city moat. Via Restaurant Zalen De Mol in small Wijthmen you cycle back to your starting point.
