Sankt Vith is the starting point of this cycling route. This town was completely destroyed during World War II, but it has since truly recovered. Today, Sankt Vith is a town known for its hospitality and excellent restaurants. Despite all the changes, Sankt Vith's centuries-old tradition as a marketplace has been preserved. In addition, the newly developed town center is a pleasant shopping area, where the many terraces invite you to enjoy a drink or a snack.

Old and new sights
Sankt Vith also cherishes its Büchel Tower, the only remnant of the medieval city walls, and the remarkable neo-Romanesque Vitus Basilica.
