The Voer region
The landscape in both South Limburg and the Voer region took its present form in a period of barely 200 years. Then that beautiful sloping patchwork blanket of fields, meadows and rows of trees was created. From a landscape point of view, not much has changed fundamentally after 1300. So you really make a journey through time here - in terms of nature, but also in terms of sights. The smallest Voerdorp, Sint-Pieters-Voeren, is known for its Commandery. This castle belonged to the German Knighthood until the French Revolution. The current building was built in the early 17th century in'Maasland Renaissance\\\', a style that you also see a lot in Liège and Maastricht. In the park of the castle is the source, which supplies the ponds and the Voer with water.

Herve country
Not as well known as the Voer region, but also very beautiful is the Land of Herve. A walled landscape with orchards, hedges, fields and cultures, rivers and streams. Here you will discover nice villages such as Morroux.

The Saint Lucia Church
In Morroux you will find many historical places. For example, the Sint-Luciakerk has a medieval tower. The rest of the church dates from the 18th century. Especially the church organ is beautiful to see. The organ dates from the end of the 17th century and was built by organ builder Henri Müseler for the church of the Premonstratensian abbey of Beaurepart in Liège. In 1807 the organ came to Morroux.
