Walking on the Turf van Vrouwenveld through Zorgvlied, Doldersum, Boschoord

This 13-kilometer walking route takes you across the Doldersummerveld, the Vrouwenveld and the Landgoed Boschoord to the Drenthe villages of Zorgvlied and Doldersum. About 200 years ago, the women worked here in the high moors of Vrouwenveld to turn the peat that was cut here to dry. A beautiful route through the woods, over the heathland, along plateau dunes and fens. The starting point of this route is Grenzeloos en Zo, which is located in Doldersum. Enjoy a nice meal here, or stay overnight if you want to discover even more of the area. It is located between the two wooded areas of the Society of Benevolence and the Drents Friese Wold National Park. A perfect location if you are looking for a nice walk in nature.
