Noordwijk, South Holland, The Netherlands
Cycling route: 126042

The Netherlands has one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world. Between Katwijk and Zandvoort you cycle through a number of dune areas and old towns. You start at the Coepelduynen. In the past, this dune strip was used as a field, to dry nets or as a pasture. Nowadays the dunes form a varied nature reserve of dune grasslands, shrublands and forest. From the boulevard in Noordwijk aan Zee you have a beautiful view over the water, and you can also see the striking lighthouse. You cycle along the edge of the Amsterdam Water Supply Dunes in the shelter to the next seaside resort: Zandvoort. In Noordwijkerhout you can admire the famous White Church from 1300.
