Hussars originally came from Hungary. The 4th Regiment of Hussars (soldiers on horseback or on bicycles) had to slow down the German advance in 1940, so that there was time to prepare the Grebbe Line. The Noorsche Huis in Gorssel is one of the few remaining prefab homes in the Norwegian dragon style in the Netherlands. The decorations on the roof and on the facade in the shape of dragon heads and tails refer to Viking ships. Back in Gorssel you can visit Museum MORE: the largest museum for Dutch Modern Realism.

They prepare the traditional ice cream themselves, you can choose from more than 26 flavors and different ice cream sundaes. In Museum MORE in Gorssel you will find the largest collection of Dutch Modern Realism. Hans Melchers' collection is housed here and this collection contains work by leading Dutch modern realistic artists from the past hundred years. The museum has masterpieces by Carel Willink, Jan Mankes, Pyke Koch, Dick Ket, Raoul Hynckes, Wim Schuhmacher and Charley Toorop, among others. You will not only find old works of art, but also post-war work. Furthermore, the collection is constantly being supplemented with new works. Influential artists such as Jan Beutener, Co Westerik and Barend Blankert are represented, as well as facialists from contemporary figurative art, including Philip Akkerman, Erwin Olaf and Annemarie Busschers. There are also changing exhibitions in the museum and lectures are organized from time to time. The building in which the museum is located has been designed in such a way that the public experience of the art is as optimal as possible. The museum is open every day from 10am to 5pm, except on Mondays. The museum is closed all day on Mondays.
