Description

Walking along the coast is wonderful: blow out with your hair in the wind with a view of the sea and the dunes. You start at Visrestaurant De Dagvisser, the fish restaurant of The Hague. Fresh fish is bought every day in the harbour. The ideal starting and ending point of your route. Here you can enjoy a delicious fish: from kibbeling to lobster. The walking route takes you through the Westduinpark: one of the largest nature reserves in The Hague that runs from Scheveningen to Kijkduin. The protected dune park has a very varied landscape with dense forests and open plains, damp dune valleys and high dune tops. Thanks to the varied landscape, the Westduinpark has a great variety of flora and fauna. On the coast you will find completely different animals and plants than in the inland dunes.
