Tour of nature and windmills near Zoetermeer

You can enjoy cycling around Zoetermeer, it is nice and green here! You cycle through the Dobbeplas nature and recreation area, where you can enjoy forests and fields. Further on you see the Driemanspolder Bovenmolen, the Driemandspolder Middenmolen and the Driemandspolder Ondermolen from 1672. These mills used to drain part of the Driemanspolder. You will also pass the edge of the Buytenpark. This nature reserve is known for its hills and groves. The soil of the hills in this area is 'airy', which gives it its own microclimate that differs from the environment. Back you cycle past the De Hoop mill and the Water Tower. The water tower was built in 1927. Fun fact: a scale model of this copy is in Madurodam.
