Description
In Drenthe you can fully enjoy the bicycle-friendly landscape. First you drive to Borger. On the edge of this village you pass the Hunebedcentrum where you can learn more about dolmens. Then you drive through Boswachterij Exloo. Cyclists who like peace and quiet are in the right place here. The deeper you penetrate into the heart of these vast forests, the quieter it becomes. In Exloo you see some beautiful monumental farms, after which you see the other side of Drenthe around Eeserveen: that of the vast fields and grasslands that were created during the peat extraction. At junction 86 you can make a trip to the Boomkroonpad. At junction 2 in Gasselte you can take a look at the beautiful white Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekerk. The route ends at Camping het Horstmannsbos.
