Tour of Borger from Gasselte

Before you cycle past the dolmens D28 and D29 to Buinen. Further on is the rolling Exloo Forestry. Cyclists who like peace and quiet have come to the right place. The deeper you penetrate into the heart of these vast forests, the quieter it becomes. In Exloo you cycle past the Bebinghehoes, a monumental farm from 1722 on the Zuiderhoofdstraat. In Boswachterij Gieten-Borger you drive through an almost 3,000 hectare nature reserve that consists of a mix of deciduous and coniferous forests, heathland and peat bogs. Gasselte is a village with a long history. The striking white Church of Our Lady partly dates from the mid-thirteenth century, but has been renovated several times over time.
