The rolling Limburg landscape around Spaubeek and Schinnen

The starting point of this route is in Schimmert. From here you cycle on to Spaubeek, Schinnen and Hoensbroek. The first sight you pass is the St. Hubertus mill, a semi-closed post mill from 1801. This mill was in operation for almost 150 years, but in the'40s the mill was shut down. A little further on you cycle past the ruins of Terborgh castle in Spaubeek. 

Then you cycle past Voerendaal and through Hulsberg back to Schimmert. There you can end the day with a bite to eat and a drink at Fietsterras't Weverke. Relax on the terrace and enjoy the view of the cozy square. Between Nuth and Voerendaal you will find the remains of Kasteel Terlinden. The buildings that are still there used to be part of the outer bailey.
