The ferries around (39 km) www.rivierenland.nl You start at't Veerhuys in Beusichem. It is located in a beautiful historic building, in a beautiful spot between the floodplains and the river Lek. The ferry, which has been sailing here for centuries, provides an important transit route across the river. Start your route at your leisure with a cup of coffee, tea and a delicious slice of apple pie. The hospitality of the staff at't Veerhuys certainly contributes to a successful day. From Beusichem you cycle towards'Orange City\\\' Buren. You can take a lovely break in the historic fortified town. Take a short walk and sit down on a terrace for a bite to eat and a drink. Buren is proud of the title'Orange City\\\'. Received in 1551 when William of Orange married Anna van Egmond. From the historical Buren you go towards Maurik, known for the recreation area Eiland van Maurik. This beautiful water-rich area is ideal for water sports enthusiasts.
