After a cup of coffee at Eetcafé Aan de Kirk you get on your bike. Across the street you see Kasteel Horn: one of the oldest, still intact ring wall fortresses in the Netherlands! then you cycle across the Beegderheide, traditionally a wooded area where farmers used to graze their cattle. During the heath recovery, some plant species appeared that were never known to have grown on the heath, such as white water buttercup. Mill St. Lindert was built sometime after 1790 at Panheel as an open stand mill and moved to its current location in 1856. You will also see Huis Nunhem, a historic country estate from 1710. Finally, you will pass the Leumolen. The oldest mention dates from 1558, but the mill may be much older.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
