Old forts
The original castle was used during the siege of Breda, among other things. Due to its favourable location on the Mark, this fortification served as a defence work until 1952! At junction 22 lies De Kleine Schans, a fortification that also dates from the Eighty Years' War.
Brabant villages
In Wagenberg you drive past the Sint-Gummarus church from 1904, you will also see some beautiful old farms here. In Made you will pass the Hoop Doet Leven, a corn mill from 1867. Nearby is a former church in the style of the Amsterdam School. In the countryside you can enjoy a varied and quiet landscape of stream valleys and arable and grasslands.
