Cycling in the Helden forests

The starting point of this route is in Reuver in North Limburg, at De Witte Stein. It is the ideal starting point to explore the area around Reuver. You can park here for free and enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner. From here you cycle in the direction of the Maas to cross to Kessel by ferry. You then quickly cycle into the Heldense Bossen, a beautiful piece of nature. The pine wood was shipped to Liège via the Drainage Canal. The Maasduinen turned this area into a special hilly landscape. A great piece of nature to explore by bike! After cycling through the Heldense Bossen, you cycle via Baarlo and Tegelen towards Germany. You cycle through the Heidemoore and Schlucht nature reserve. Here you have beautiful views over the Maas Valley in various places.
