Nature tour at Son & Breugel

From your starting point you cycle through the farmlands at Son & Breugel. Loosen up your legs in a mosaic of meadows, fields and small woods. You pass through a few hamlets and through Gerwen, a village where you can admire the early seventeenth-century Sint-Clemenskerk. Get off here at Restaurant De 3 Gebroeders. Then you drive through the woods for a while. At node 61 you will see the Oude Toren, a solitary church tower from the Middle Ages, between the trees. The associated Sint-Trudokerk was lost in 1884 by fire after a lightning strike. In Lieshout you can see the beautiful seventeenth-century entrance gate of a demolished country house on the Heuvel. You will also pass the Leest, a flour mill from 1899. After Mariahout you will cycle through the Vressels Bos.
