Pumpkin Parade

In the spring and summer, crops such as onions and potatoes dominate the farmland on the Kop van Goeree-Overflakkee. From mid-August, various fields slowly turn orange; a beautiful face. the pumpkin is a very old cultivated crop that originated in America. Europe first saw the ornamental fruit only in the 16th century. About 20 years ago, the cultivation of pumpkins and ornamental fruit was started at the Kop van Goeree. With this cycle route you will discover the beautiful Goereese landscape. On the way you will come across many orange ornamental fruit fields. These or other fields are cultivated every season, so if you want to know where they can be seen exactly, visit the VVV in Ouddorp before the bike ride.
