Description

Your route starts at De Pannekoekenmolen. Cycling through South Limburg is an experience in itself. Stream valleys, quiet forests, idyllic views and church villages with centuries-old half-timbered houses: they make your bike ride through South Limburg a party. The views are always beautiful, whether you cycle through the Geuldal or look around from a hilltop. In hamlets such as Bommerig, Camerig and Eperheide you see monumental half-timbered houses from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Mheer was once declared one of the ten most beautiful villages in the Netherlands. And not without reason. For example, you can see the seventeenth-century Sint-Lambertuskerk there. Behind it is the fourteenth-century Kasteel van Mheer. Noorbeek and Wesch enjoy protected village views, partly because of the Brigidabron and the centuries-old Sint-Brigidakerk, which is largely built of marl.
