Mechelen, Valkenburg and Cadier en Keer

A hilly landscape with beautiful stream valleys, steep slopes, and rich soil consisting of fertile loess, flint, and limestone. No National Landscape could be described other than the South Limburg National Landscape. Cycling through this province means cycling over hills, to peaks and valleys, from one significant historical site to the next location that seems even more important. The well-known tourist attraction of Valkenburg is also located in the area, and while cycling through the surroundings, you will encounter sunken lanes and see magnificent orchards with tall trees. The route starts and ends at Hotel Hoeve de Plei; this ideal location lies amidst the Limburg greenery. Once you have completed the route, it is wonderful to catch your breath on the sun-drenched terrace.
