Tour of Epen, Gulpen and Teuven

Gently undulating plateaus and stream valleys: what a pleasure it is to be in South Limburg. Lovely streams babble and determine the different parts of the plateaus. A beautiful panorama is outlined on the tops of the hills, while you can wander wonderfully in the lowlands. In addition to beautiful surroundings, South Limburg is full of cultural history. Your route starts at Hotel de Plank. From Slenaken you drive straight into Belgium. Part of the route actually crosses the border: you cycle through the forests of the Voerstreek where you visit villages such as Nurop, Teuven and Sinnich. A little later you pass Beusdael Castle, the oldest parts of which date from the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. In the Netherlands you cycle past two more castles: Neuburg and Groenendaal.
