Cycling route: 123229
Provided by: Groots Genieten
From Epen you can take a beautiful bike ride through the green Limburg hills. Along the way you will pass many sights, such as old half-timbered houses, churches and water mills.
Holset
You drive to Belgium via some charming hamlets. You drive through Wallonia, although in Sippenaeken, for example, you hear more Limburgish than French. You make a climb to the border crossing with the Netherlands, then you descend quickly. You will pass two watermills: the Vaalsbroekermolen from 1776 and the Frankenhofmolen from 1736. In Holset you will see the old HH Lambertus and Genoveva Church.
Geuldal
The border village of Oud-Lemiers enjoys a protected village view. Here you will see, among other things, the twelfth-century St. Catherine's Chapel. What a special atmosphere! Then you drive through the beautiful German village of Orsbach. In Overheul you can see the Commandeursmolen, a watermill that originally dates from the thirteenth century.
