Cycling through the Pannenhoef and Rucphense Forests

Your route starts at Boer, Winkel Van Het Land. Around Rijsbergen you will find several beautiful nature reserves. This route takes you through the Pannenhoef and Rucphense Bossen. The first few kilometres you will loosen up your legs in the characteristic Brabant countryside. On roads where few cars come, you cycle past meadows, fields and long-façade farms. It is wonderfully quiet here, ideal for being able to switch back immediately. Centuries ago, the Pannenhoef looked like the Peel in the east of Brabant. From the fourteenth to the seventeenth century, peat was extracted here in abundance. Now there is a beautiful nature reserve of forest, fens and flowery meadows. Further on you will come across two beautiful estates: De Moeren and Wallsteijn. Finally, you will cycle through the vast Rucphense Bossen.
