Cycling through the Pannenhoef and Rucphense Forests

You will find some beautiful nature reserves around Rijsbergen. This route takes you through the Pannenhoef and Rucphense Forests, among other things.

Rijsbergen
During the first kilometers you will stretch your legs in the characteristic Brabant country. On roads where there are few cars, you cycle past meadows, fields and long-fronted farms. It is wonderfully quiet here, ideal for being able to switch back immediately.

Pannenhoef
Centuries ago, the Pannenhoef looked like the Peel in the east of Brabant. From the fourteenth to the seventeenth century, peat was extensively extracted here. Now there is a beautiful nature reserve of forests, fens and flowery meadows. Further on you will come across two beautiful estates: De Moeren and Wallsteijn. Finally, you drive through the vast Rucphen Forests. Take a deep breath and breathe in the fresh forest air.
