Walking around the Jagersplas

Put on your walking shoes and explore the centuries-old Wijdewormer polder. The starting point of this route is Café Brasserie Het Heerenhuis in Wijdewormer. Start or end your route here with a delicious lunch. Then you walk towards the Jagersplas, a nature and recreation area with beaches, surrounded by smaller ditches. The center of the Jagersplas is 38 meters deep. When the lake was excavated, layers of peat were cut through. Then you walk through Het Kalf, where you have a beautiful view over the water. You walk back through the polders to Café Brasserie Het Heerenhuis. Would you like to see more of the area, such as the Zaanse Schans, Amsterdam, Edam and Volendam?
