Blankenberge, Bredene and Bruges

Blankenberge is one of the most important seaside resorts in West Flanders. The coast attracts thousands of tourists every year and tourist trains are used in the summer, connecting Blankenberge station directly to Brussels via Bruges. It is wonderful to cycle the kilometers along the coastline, to get a breath of fresh air and enjoy the beautiful views over the sea. But it is also fun to explore the interior and find your way to Bruges. Bruges is the capital and the largest city of West Flanders, yet the atmospheric town has a small-scale feel. Much of the atmosphere is radiated by the 430-hectare historic center, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site as a medieval city. Cute houses, historic streets and lovely squares are waiting to be discovered. Of the 117,000 inhabitants, only 20,000 live in the centre. This route starts at Profile Jumpbikes in Uitkerke.
